- Is it the battery or the alternator?
- That is the first thing we check, and it is why we test before we sell you anything. A battery that will not hold charge is one problem; an alternator that is not charging it is another, and a new battery will not fix that. The test takes minutes and you get a straight answer.
- How much is a car battery in Brisbane?
- It depends on the size and the type your car needs. A small hatch and a diesel ute take very different batteries, and stop-start cars need an AGM or EFB battery, which costs more. We quote the right one for your car, fitted and the old one disposed of, before we touch it.
- Can you come to me?
- Yes, within 10 km of Northgate on weekdays, 8am to 3pm, from $229 for a mobile visit. Or drive in if the car starts, and it is done while you wait.
- How long does a battery replacement take?
- Fitting is about 30 minutes. Cars with stop-start need the new battery registered to the car, which we do as part of the job, so the charging system treats it correctly.
